Celebrations...

It has been a busy few days on the farm recently and this was not due to the animals . In the past week we have celebrated my grandaughter's first birthday, my oldest daughter's 30th birthday and two engagements. Yes two, my oldest and youngest daughter both became engaged within days of each other. Both proposals were in romantic settings---- on the top of Mount Snowden ,and the other in beautiful Northumberland.

The top photos show one of the birthday girls enjoying her special tea and looking quite bewildered with her cake. The other birthday girl was a little more 'laid back' about the cake and was pleased to see only one 'token' candle.

The engagement rings are , on the lower photo an aquamarine with diamonds on a white gold band and above , a sapphire with diamonds on a gold band.
To complete the weekend both rings were blessed by our parish priest . It was a wonderful time and much love to all.

Lots to celebrate :-) Congratulations and blessings!

I want to thank you for your review of Footprints In The Sand by Sarah Challis. I bought the book on the strength of your recommendation and it turned out to be such a delightful, uplifting read. I am going to blog about it next week and will mention and link to your post.

How wonderful! I hope they will both be very happy. Does this mean wedding quilts will be in order?!!
