Brinkburn Priory.

Yesterday we spent a pleasant few hours in Northumberland, a county I have always loved . Our visit was to Brinkburn Priory near Rothbury. In this ancient building the chapel was decorated and prepared for a Solemn High Latin Mass. The service was very inspiring with music provided by the Rudgate Singers and St Bede's Schola.
After Mass there was time to enjoy our picnic with fellow Mass goers from various parts of the diocese.A wonderful day was had by all.

Lovely images. I do miss being able to visit/attend European churches; the generations of prayers that seem ingrained in their stones give those churches an aura of serenity and beauty I have found in few other places. Thank you for sharing your day :-)

I love the photos! thank you so much for posting them. We went to Northumberland once, on a bus tour, and really enjoyed it. Your pictures remind me of the wild beauty of the area, and the lovely old churches. Thank you, Zetor!
