Teaser Tuesdays

All you have to do to join in is the following ----

Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Had to click on your teaser link since we both chose a book with an African setting this Teaser Tuesday :-) And then I see you have a picture of Charlotte Brontë on your blog, AND a post about one of Ellis Peters's books. My favourites, which are falling apart, are her Brothers Of Gwynedd quartet, written as Edith Pargeter.

Now I am going to have to make myself a peppermint tea and plough through your blog in greater detail :-)

I do want to read something by Anita Shreve one of these days. Not sure this is the one to start with, though. Interesting teaser - hope you're enjoying the book.
