Today’s MUSING MONDAYS post is about multitasking.

Do you – or are you even able – to do other things while you read? Do you knit, hold a conversation, keep an eye on the TV? Anything?

At times I can hold a conversation, I'm sure it's pretty rude to read as well as talk, but if the book is particularly gripping, my lips move but my eyes stay firmly on thte page. Although this is only done with nearest and dearest.
Watching t.v.is done to a certain extent but the t.v. programme usually loses out to the book eventually!
Of course when it comes to audio books I have been known to sew and watch t.v. , now that's multitasking alright!

There is only one thing I can do whilst reading and that is nurse my baby!

I find it impossible to read and watch tv or hold a conversation...maybe my brain is too slow to concentrate on two things at once!

I do really love it when you post these questions...! :-)

I think it is rude for someone to talk to me while I am reading!
sometimes I like the white noise of music of the TV in the background while I read. but I don't really pay attention to it.

Amy's Quilt Festival.

Over at Amy's blog there is an online quilt festival starting today and running for a week. As I have only ever made one quilt I don't have a lot of choice but as no judging takes place I thought I'd participate. Apologies to those who have already read the details of the quilt in an earlier post but I need to chronicle the it's making for the festival. It was about 2-3 years in the planning , as I was such a coward I really didn't know where to begin. The idea for the quilt was a request from my youngest daughter and not wishing to disappoint I immediately agreed. The material was duly bought and about 2 squares were sewn and that was it for at least a year!!! Booking through Thursday

This is this week's discussion We’ve all seen the lists, we’ve all thought, “I should really read that someday,” but for all of us, there are still books on “The List” that we haven’t actually gotten around to reading. Even though we know they’re fabulous. Even though we know that we’ll like them. Or that we’ll learn from them. Or just that they’re supposed to be worthy. We just … haven’t gotten around to them yet. What’s the best book that YOU haven’t read yet? I think this week's discussion could be closely related to my last post concerning the Daily Telegraph article on reading habits.
