Teaser Tuesday

I'm sure you know the 'rules' by now but here is a reminder ---

Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

So here is my teaser for this week,

'At times it felt as if the whole future of Elizabeth and her subjects rested on his shoulders alone. How could he, one man, stand against the threat of the so-called Enterprise of England-- Philip of Spain's growing armada of ships now being assembled to invade the country and destroy the Queen?'

from page 26,'Martyr' by Rory Clements.

More teasers can be found

Hi, I just found your blog and like this idea. I listen to audiobooks as much as I read, and at the moment I am between books, so here is a sentence from the book I am currently listening to, "U is for Undertow" by Sue Grafton.

Something I hadn't thought about in years...I think she was already dead by then and they were getting rid of the body.
