Teaser Tuesdays

Here we are with a teaser for another Tuesday -----

Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

'Have done. Have done, 'pleaded Louis but they would not listen to him. In any case it was too late. In that burning church were thirteen hundred innocent people and they were all burned to death.'

page 68 'The Plantagenet Prelude' by Jean Plaidy.

Grim!

It's been a while sine I read Jean Plaidy. Maybe I will revisit.

Wow! Now that's a teaser!
1300 people is a lot to die at such a horrid death. Sad times.

I've never read any Jean Plaidy, but she was one of my mom's favorites. This one sounds really sad - hope there are some bright spots, as well.
