Tuesday Teasers.

TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:

Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers!

This is my first week with Tuesday Teasers, so here goes ---

'The destruction of the Fitzwilliam side of the correspondence is not in itself odd; a reasonable assumption would be that the papers were among those burnt in the great fire of 1972.'
'The aim of the Royal Tour of the North, as George V himself stated , was 'to see working men and women in working conditions'.'

These lines are from 'Black Diamonds', The Rise and Fall of an English Dynasty. by Catherine Bailey. This book follows the turbulant life of the 7th Earl Fitzwilliam and the villagers who live nearby and work in the collieries.

I take it this is Non-Fiction? At least the Teaser reads like it is. An Mog is such a sweet lug of a kitty - I especially like his 1st prize ribbon :0)
