Tuesday Teasers

Over on Tuesday Teasers we are asked to do the following,

'Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers! '

So here are mine,
'With all his good looks and good-nature, he was not perfect;he must have been very imperfect if he roguishly encouraged aims he never intended to be successful. But did he not intend them to be successful?'

These lines are from p.92.of Charlotte Bronte's 'Villette'. This is my second reading of the book and it has been a little slow this time around, this being no fault of the book just the reader. The longer I go without reading the harder I find the first book , once in the reading 'frame' all is well.

Your words of encouragement really lifted me tonight - bless you Mog! I shall be praying a Rosary for your dear Priest.
