This last week has found me reading a few short stories by Daphne Du Maurier, 'The Rendezvous and other stories'. These were good for quick reads in between sewing.
However as the months are passing quickly I remembered Becky's challenge for the Bronte Sisters which I had signed up to a while ago. So yesterday I started re-reading 'Agnes Grey by Anne Bronte. I love this book. I read it years ago on a train journey from Cambridge after visiting my daughter. The lady I sat next to on the train remarked that she tried to read it in the past and couldn't. When I replied that I was a keen fan of the Brontes she gave me a very strange look, lol! Well that made me determined to read, and determination soon turned to pleasure as the story unfolded. It has a popular 'Bronte' theme with Agnes Grey leaving home to be a governess to a very unruly family. Next week I'm sure this book will be finished and I'll have moved on to another grear read. I haven't read 'Agnes Grey' but did enjoy 'The Tenant of Wildfell Hall'. Have you tried that one?

No 'table talk' I haven'e read that one . As the challenge states 2 Bronte works I may give it a go.Thanks for the suggestion

Over at Amy's blog there is an online quilt festival starting today and running for a week. As I have only ever made one quilt I don't have a lot of choice but as no judging takes place I thought I'd participate. Apologies to those who have already read the details of the quilt in an earlier post but I need to chronicle the it's making for the festival. It was about 2-3 years in the planning , as I was such a coward I really didn't know where to begin. This is this week's discussion We’ve all seen the lists, we’ve all thought, “I should really read that someday,” but for all of us, there are still books on “The List” that we haven’t actually gotten around to reading.
