I have to agree with Abe: I like to watch people going about their daily job when they have such an interesting. And they do it under the same sky as I do mine. Nice shot.

Lovely photo and something you (well I) don't see often. That one little sheep in the center of the picture looks kind of skinny and not quite as fluffy and furred as the others. I worry about him/her.

Very pretty sheep, I haven't met the breed before. Of the British breeds, we have a small flock of Leicesters, Borders and Suffolks, but mainly Border x Merinos. Feeding is achoretough both winter and summer here.

Nice to meet another farmer on the skywatch run.

Over at Amy's blog there is an online quilt festival starting today and running for a week. As I have only ever made one quilt I don't have a lot of choice but as no judging takes place I thought I'd participate. Apologies to those who have already read the details of the quilt in an earlier post but I need to chronicle the it's making for the festival. It was about 2-3 years in the planning , as I was such a coward I really didn't know where to begin. The idea for the quilt was a request from my youngest daughter and not wishing to disappoint I immediately agreed. The material was duly bought and about 2 squares were sewn and that was it for at least a year!!! Then last Autumn I visited a quilt exhibition and when talking to a very talented lady just had to mention about 'this' quilt . This is this week's discussion We’ve all seen the lists, we’ve all thought, “I should really read that someday,” but for all of us, there are still books on “The List” that we haven’t actually gotten around to reading. Even though we know they’re fabulous. Even though we know that we’ll like them. Or that we’ll learn from them. Or just that they’re supposed to be worthy. We just … haven’t gotten around to them yet. What’s the best book that YOU haven’t read yet? I think this week's discussion could be closely related to my last post concerning the Daily Telegraph article on reading habits. However as I have already 'casted my vote' in the 'Telegraph' poll I'll concentrate on books on my bookshelf that I intend to read one day.
