Book Review

Well I have finally finished this book. As I've been busy with other hobbies and farm work it's taken me quite a while.
If you like 'James Bond' type adventures then you will like this . It's 'James Bond' without the girls, which is just as well as there is a chunk of the story set around the Vatican. The theme being the releasing from a Chinese prison of a Catholic Cardinal. Interweaved with this we are taken through the procedures required to acquire a new Pope, being a Catholic I knew some of this but not all. I therefore found this part very interesting but the 'Bond' adventures I found a little far fetched (but it's fiction after all)

One of my boys asked me yesterday why James Bond always ending up with girls! Not sure I could think of a decent answer

Over at Amy's blog there is an online quilt festival starting today and running for a week. As I have only ever made one quilt I don't have a lot of choice but as no judging takes place I thought I'd participate. Apologies to those who have already read the details of the quilt in an earlier post but I need to chronicle the it's making for the festival. It was about 2-3 years in the planning , as I was such a coward I really didn't know where to begin. The idea for the quilt was a request from my youngest daughter and not wishing to disappoint I immediately agreed. The material was duly bought and about 2 squares were sewn and that was it for at least a year!!! This is this week's discussion We’ve all seen the lists, we’ve all thought, “I should really read that someday,” but for all of us, there are still books on “The List” that we haven’t actually gotten around to reading.
