Another week gone by. Today is raining and quite cold so I'm going to make some meringues to have with cream for tea. It's the Wimbledon finals today so we'll have a tv. tea and watch some good tennis. It should be strawberries and champagne but never mind!
On the reading front I have finished 'Rebecca' , you can read my review here.
So now the decision has to be made what to read next from my long list.
I've narrowed it down to two books, 'The Secret Cardinal', by Tom Grace or 'The Lady Chapel' by Candace Robb. I have read another of Candace Robb's books in 'The Apothecary Rose' which I thoroughly enjoyed. Anyhow later today I'll look at them both and decide. Hope you all have a good week.

I'm torn today, British Grand Prix and tennis! And an easy piece of knitting to do while I wtch both. Enjoy your weekend

No need to be torn any longer. It doesn't look as though the tennis is going to get started before the Grand Prix finishes. If there's anyone left out there to finish!

Over at Amy's blog there is an online quilt festival starting today and running for a week. As I have only ever made one quilt I don't have a lot of choice but as no judging takes place I thought I'd participate. Apologies to those who have already read the details of the quilt in an earlier post but I need to chronicle the it's making for the festival. It was about 2-3 years in the planning , as I was such a coward I really didn't know where to begin. The idea for the quilt was a request from my youngest daughter and not wishing to disappoint I immediately agreed. The material was duly bought and about 2 squares were sewn and that was it for at least a year!!! This is this week's discussion We’ve all seen the lists, we’ve all thought, “I should really read that someday,” but for all of us, there are still books on “The List” that we haven’t actually gotten around to reading. Even though we know they’re fabulous. Even though we know that we’ll like them. Or that we’ll learn from them. Or just that they’re supposed to be worthy. We just … haven’t gotten around to them yet.
