Gracious Hospitality--- Tea Rooms.

Over on Gracious Hospitality we are asked to post our favourite tea rooms. The one I want to consider is 'Betty's'. There are tearooms by this company in Yorkshire ,they may be more but the one I have visited is in Harrogate. Unfortunately last time there I didn't have my camera with me. However, on my visit to York last Monday I snapped the tearoom there.
The meals are delicious.
As you can see from the photo there is a baker's shop attached to the cafe. Their cakes are wonderful. My mouth is watering as I type!

How I wish I could be there right now! Betty's looks like a wonderful tea room! It looks like a very popular place and truly is authentically a part of daily life. That's the way it should be. Thanks for sharing.

Oh I've walked by Betty's a few times! We decided on eating elsewhere though. What fun memories you brought up for me. Have a nice weekend.

One thing I must do when ever i return to visit England is to have afternoon tea in a lovely ta room.

Amy's Quilt Festival.

Over at Amy's blog there is an online quilt festival starting today and running for a week. As I have only ever made one quilt I don't have a lot of choice but as no judging takes place I thought I'd participate. Apologies to those who have already read the details of the quilt in an earlier post but I need to chronicle the it's making for the festival. It was about 2-3 years in the planning , as I was such a coward I really didn't know where to begin. The idea for the quilt was a request from my youngest daughter and not wishing to disappoint I immediately agreed. This is this week's discussion We’ve all seen the lists, we’ve all thought, “I should really read that someday,” but for all of us, there are still books on “The List” that we haven’t actually gotten around to reading.
